Guidelines for Opening Up America Again, a three-phased approach based on the advice of public health experts. What does that mean for vacation rentals specifically?
First off, if you are a homeowner, I hope that you are finding a way to pay your mortgage if that has been a struggle for you in these times. And double whammy to those that have mortgages and are self employed; as you try and apply for government assistance that has ran out of money. We understand what your going through and we will bounce back.
As written about in a previous post, Travel After Covid-19 , we have seen the severe economic impact on the travel industry, but lets take a look at the silver linings. Time to winterize your winter cabins, re-model that bathroom or kitchen you’ve been thinking about but have too many bookings to do so. Take a breath and take your time but not too much time because the travel industry is believed to be one of the industry’s that will (as it has in the past epidemics) to bounce back stronger after the Coronavirus.
The vacation rental industry will push through and we will be ready, but when will that be? In past pandemic’s we let up on restrictions in hopes to get the economy back up and running and numbers go up (negativly) We pull back a bit. Time goes by and we let up some restrictions and numbers may go up again. We pull back. They call this “The Dance,” and this is something we may experience in the time to come. Let’s take a quick look at the Guidelines of “Opening Up America Again” This is a three-phased approach. Phase one, Phase two and Phase three. There is data-driven conditions each region or state should satisfy before proceeding to Phase one.
Phase Two is important to Vacation Rental owners, this is the phase in which non-essential travel can resume.
